KIT WILSON
Lead Physio
&
Clinic Owner
I qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2014.
Since graduating, I have worked extensively within the NHS alongside doctors, GPs and consultants across a wide range of specialties. This experience has enabled me to develop strong clinical expertise in assessing and treating a broad spectrum of conditions, injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. Alongside my NHS work, I have supported semi-professional and amateur sports teams, giving me specialist knowledge in injury rehabilitation, performance management and safe return-to-sport planning for athletes across multiple disciplines.
I am committed to ongoing professional development. In 2020, I gained a qualification in medical acupuncture, followed by completion of a Master’s-level module in injection therapy at York St John University in 2022. More recently, I have been advancing my practice further through a Master’s module in First Contact Physiotherapy at University of Central Lancashire. These qualifications have enhanced my ability to provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment options, including injection medicine as part of a comprehensive care approach.
I currently work across several GP surgeries in the Ryedale area, delivering comprehensive assessments and diagnostics, and referring patients when appropriate to specialist services including Orthopaedics, Spinal consultants and Rheumatology.
Outside of clinical practice, I have a strong personal passion for sport and physical performance. I have played amateur rugby for Malton and Norton RUFC and have also undertaken strongman training, which has given me a deep, practical understanding of strength-based conditioning and injury demands. I regularly enjoy running in the countryside, road and off-road cycling, as well as alpine pursuits such as mountaineering and skiing.
This combination of professional expertise and personal experience allows me to truly understand the impact of injury—whether from sport, work or everyday life—and to support patients effectively through recovery, performance improvement and long-term health.
